The shop learns to grow (and the first cat room stands by our own hands)

Last episode the shop got a day of its own — it opened, closed and counted its till. This episode it got something bigger: the shop can grow, by our own hands.
🌙 The night the owner snuck in to play at midnight
It started with one night — the game's designer (who is not a programmer) sat down with a real build at midnight and wrote down everything that made his hands grumble: how picking things up should feel, where bought things should live, what the build panel should say. By the time he woke up, that list had become a whole set of systems, already in the game.
Everything you buy now flows into the shop warehouse (shared by the whole shop — no more "whose pockets is it in?"). And handling things is down to ONE move: click a placed thing → it lifts into your hand → click to put it somewhere new, store it to the warehouse, or right-click to put it back exactly where it was. No key chart to memorize.
🏗️ The shop grows — and the first cat room stands by hand
The big one. While the shop is closed, the build panel carries a new set of verbs:
- Expand — aim at the shop's edge, a green box appears with the land price, click and the shell actually sprouts a wing. Aim somewhere forbidden and the game prints the reason right on screen — like "the shop front never moves."
- Cat room — a whole glass-walled room comes into your hand. Stand it anywhere in the shop, then fuss over it: move it, resize it, slide its doorway, until it's right.
And because this game was born co-op — a friend standing in your shop watches the new wing and the cat room appear at the same moment you do. Replicated truth, not a local echo.
🎨 Four players, four colours — and nobody blocks the doorway anymore
Play with four people and everyone gets an unmistakable colour: amber, sky, lavender, orange. (Green and red are reserved — the game uses those to say "this fits / this doesn't," so no player colour is allowed near them.)
And a new law, called live by the owner himself: characters walk straight through each other. A cat cafe with narrow aisles has no business letting anyone stand in a doorway as a roadblock — so players, customers (and the future cats) all pass through one another. Walls and furniture still stop you like they should. Nobody phases through the building.
🌏 A peek at the next episode
While half the team built the cat room, the other half started digging at the world outside the shop — the zone system and the warp door between inside ↔ outside are already working quietly behind the scenes. Next episode we might see what stands beyond the shop's front door for the very first time 🏝️
See you next log — a shop that grows, and a world about to get a horizon 🐾☕
